Wales v England:
Parallel Histories or Constructed Differences?
University of Wales, Bangor
9–10 September 2005
This cross-disciplinary and chronologically wide-ranging conference addresses some of the major recent issues in regional history. It is also part of a growing concern with the ways that ‘Britishness', Englishness' and ‘Welshness' have been constructed. The conference will examine the similarities and differences between England and Wales, largely by examining parallel events in North-west England and Wales.
Conference fee is £15
per day including all lunches and refreshments.
Optional 3 course conference dinner on the 9th September £25.00
Accommodation is in University Halls of Residence at £35
pp per night.
