UK-AUSTRALIAN LABOUR HISTORY CONFERENCE, 16,17,18 July 2003

PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME

The conference consists of three strands.

Strand A, Historiography, Archives and Comparative Perspectives, will be held at MMU in the Mabel Tylecote Building, third floor.

Strand B, Institutions and Cultures, will be held in the adjacent Manton Building at MMU, ground floor.

Strand C, The Political Economy of Labour, will be held at the International Centre for Labour Studies, Williamson Building, University of Manchester.

All three buildings are on Oxford Rd., south of the city centre. A walk of approximately five minutes along Oxford Rd. takes one from Oxford Rd. railway station to the Tylecote and Manton buildings. They are part of MMU’s main All Saints campus. Continue along Oxford Rd. for a few hundred yards to reach the Wlliamson Building on the left hand side of Oxford Rd., almost opposite Manchester University’s student union.
